Course summary

Creative marketers are in high demand as organisations, brands and agencies look for fresh perspectives on how to tackle existing and emerging challenges faced today. With the rapid inception of new technologies and channels, and changes in consumer behaviours and perceptions, the industry needs new thinking. Created in close consultation with senior marketing professionals and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), our MSc Advertising and Marketing Communications degree will prepare you for the dynamic world of marketing communications, equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make your mark. Through contemporary case studies and applied projects, you will be introduced to the principles of communications, marketing and consumer behaviour and develop a comprehensive knowledge of advertising and communications theory and management in global settings. In your third semester, you will choose an experiential project. With the opportunity to use your skills in a real-world setting, you can choose from completing a consultancy experience project, an internship experience project, or a business research project. Designed for aspiring communications specialists This course is aimed at students from a range of backgrounds who don't necessarily have a background in marketing or advertising. Whether you want to work for a creative advertising agency or in-house for major international companies, our MSc Advertising and Marketing Communications degree will ensure you learn the theory, tools and techniques needed to develop into an effective marketing specialist ready to operate at strategic and tactical levels in industry. Entry requirements

This programme is open to graduates from any discipline and does not require marketing study to be completed at undergraduate level. For the one year course, you will need an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honours degree (2.2 or above). For the two year course with placement, you will need an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honours degree (2.1 or above). All applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment to the subject they wish to study and should demonstrate how their chosen programme of study will benefit them in their future career. English language requirements
