Course summary
Our BSc Marketing Communications is designed specifically to respond to the needs of the digital economy and the constantly changing expectations of social media-savvy consumers, providing an excellent basis for a professional career in marketing and communications. It is designed to equip you with an in-depth knowledge of modern methods of marketing communication used by organisations to achieve their business objectives and will cover the fundamentals of branding, B2B vs B2C marketing communications strategies, ethical issues in global marketing, and the evolving nature of digital marketing. Throughout your degree, you will learn how to run marketing communication campaigns, create unique brand identities and how to foster competitive advantage, whilst considering the ethical consequences and sustainability issues of the various activities of marketing communications. Our academic staff have extensive experience of business and they will support you to connect your learning to the realities of marketing. You will be supported by your Academic Guidance Tutor, who will help to guide your learning and career development. You will also have access to our extensive range of employability events. In preparation for your future career, you will develop a range of skills that employers value: the ability to identify and solve business problems and to communicate your ideas effectively.
