Modules

In your first year you’ll study the fundamentals of games production, understanding the mechanics of play and developing your own prototype game. This year is about finding your strengths so that you can build on them in your second and third years via optional modules. Your final year requires you to provide solutions for real-world user game-play problems as part of an innovative practical project. For example, you might design alternative game controls such as touch or voice. At the end of this year, you will have the opportunity to showcase your work at our annual COMX show which attracts leading games industry players such as Codemasters and Microsoft Games. If you choose the four-year sandwich option, you could follow in the footsteps of previous students who have completed placements at Rancon, Headstrong Games and Twistplay.
