The course is the depiction of anatomy, medical science, pathology and surgery; this may include medical images, models or animations for use in education, advertising, marketing and publishing, conceptual work in relation to research, education and publishing and 2 or 3-dimensional visualisation for the training of specific medical professionals.
Modules include: anatomy; head and neck; anatomy; post cranial; life art; digital media practice; research training; medico-legal ethics; image capture and creation; communication and education;dissertation and exhibition
A variety of assessment methods are used including: anatomy spot-tests, portfolio assessment, written examinations, oral presentations, written coursework and exhibition presentation.
1st or 2.1 Honours degree in art/design or related medical science; applicants without Honours degree in art/design must provide evidence of artwork, in the form of a portfolio on CD submitted with application. Relevant professional experience will be taken into account if applicants have no graduate qualifications. IELTS of 6.5 (or equivalent), if the 1st language is not English.
