Course summary

Microbiology is the study of all aspects of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and parasites including their identification, transmission, interaction with the host in disease and the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance. You’ll receive practical training in aspects of epidemiology at the Marine Biology Station at Millport in the Firth of Clyde. You will have the opportunity to include a specialisation in Bacteriology, Parasitology or Virology.
