Sport, Exercise and Health Science is a more generic programme designed to offer students a broad exposure to the application of science across sport, exercise and health environments. The programme offers a broad range of modules in the final year that enables students to tailor the programme in line with their own specific interests and aspirations. The programme is built around a core of biomechanical, physiological, and psychological knowledge that is then applied in a diverse range of domains including injury rehabilitation, paediatric populations, sports performance, and exercise prescription and promotion. The programme also seeks to develop core skills that will be crucial to graduates future careers including: teamwork, communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills. The broad nature of the programme offers graduates a diverse range of options in terms of future employability including: Health care professionals (some require a conversion masters), sport science, coaching, teaching, research, fitness industry, health promotion.
