The HNC in Computing is an established technical qualification that is highly respected throughout the computing industry. It provides you with the opportunity to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills over a wide range of computing applications. In addition you will have the opportunity to study for a variety of Microsoft industrial (MTA) qualifications as part of the programme. The UK has a significant shortfall of specialist and skilled I.T. & Computing personnel, and statistics have shown that I.T. and Computing skills are in demand, in particular when combined with the ability to manage projects. The programme aims to give you an insight into the experience and broad knowledge required to progress into employment in the I.T. and Computing industry or continue with your studies at a higher level, whilst retaining a strong focus on how fundamental computing techniques and technologies underpin all key industries.
