The course will develop your understanding and foundations of core computing, programming, systems design and software development.
During the course you will develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as computer networks, server and security management.

The course is modular and the content is designed to be flexible enough to provide you with underpinning knowledge in all subjects.

You will also be given the opportunity to explore a range of areas in more detail.

The course will allow you to develop your awareness of professional standards of conduct and practice; which will provide you with the ability to apply your skills, knowledge and understanding to a variety of computing problems and contexts.

Modules

You will study modules including Business skills for e-commerce, Computer systems, Employability and professional development, Systems analysis, Website design, Database design concepts, Procedural programming and Network technologies.

Assessment method

Assessment methods include practical assessments, reports and essays, analysis of case studies, oral presentations, seminar papers, project work, Personal Development Portfolio, examinations and unseen class tests. Assessment will involve both individual and group / team-based assignments.
