The course is designed to meet the needs of those wishing to broaden their knowledge and understanding of theoretical
and policy issues (including research methods) in education, training and related areas and who are taking on greater
responsibility in relation to their professional role and career development. The course provides you with the opportunity
to develop your own personal and professional confidence within your working practice, with a view to enhancing your
career. You explore and reflect upon research methods, theory and policy with a direct application to your role in education,
training and professional contexts.
The course is aimed at the professional development needs of teachers or trainers in further, higher, adult and secondary education and those who work in related areas such as health, careers, uniformed services and private training organisations.
This is a blended learning course with tutorials at either Beverley or Bridlington, along with day schools at University of Huddersfield. Learning materials and activities will be on a virtual learning environment provided by the University of Huddersfield and you will attend seven study days (Saturdays)
at the University of Huddersfield at intervals throughout the year.
