Managing a Professional Engineering Project
There will be four additional units which are to be confirmed, however, they will be chosen from the following list. These units will be discussed with students as soon as they are confirmed. Module titles may be subject to change.
Automation, Robotics and Programmable Logic Controllers
Electrical and Electronic Principles
Electronic Circuits and Devices
Computer Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD/CAM)
Assessment methods are varied and may include written reports, presentations, case studies, individual/group projects and reflective statements. For mathematical subjects there may be time-based assessments in the classroom.

In order to start this course, you will be expected to have successfully completed, or have evidence of working towards, at least 64 UCAS points, which is equivalent to:
2 A Level grade C/grade 4 in appropriate subjects, one of which should be Maths.
BTEC National Diploma at grade MM – with a distinction in Further Maths for Technicians and Mechanical Principles.
BTEC National Extended Diploma at grade MPP – with a distinction in Further Maths for Technicians and Mechanical Principles.
Additional entry requirements
We normally require three GCSEs at grade C/grade 4 or above, to include English language and maths: English and maths at Level 2 are essential requirements.
