You will gain a firm foundation in scientific, intellectual and investigative skills and knowledge from which to progress onto your chosen BSc(Hons) programme whether that be Biology, Zoology, Forensic Science, Conservation Biology or Animal Conservation Science. BSc Year 2: Introductory modules: ■ Cell Biology ■ Molecular Biology ■ Introductory Biochemistry ■ Human Anatomy and Physiology ■ Introductory Microbiology and Immunology ■ Introduction to Laboratory Science. BSc Year 3: ■ Six modules are selected dependant on the pathway of choice: ■ Infection and Immunity ■ Applications in Molecular Biology ■ Introduction to Bioinformatics ■ Microbiological Techniques ■ Human Genetics ■ Medical Microbiology ■ Biochemical Pathways ■ Microbial Genetics ■ Pharmacology and Physiology BSc Year 4: ■ Research Project ■ Modules are then selected depending on the pathway of choice. Specimen modules include: ■ The Molecular Basis for Infection ■ Medical Genetics etc.
