Explore the science behind equine health and rehabilitation on this applied degree. Learn in labs and gain experience in our commercial Equine Therapy Centre, equipped with its own water treadmill to rehabilitate horses and prepare them for competition.

You’ll learn how to diagnose and treat equine health issues and conditions, whilst developing your knowledge of exercise anatomy and physiology, biomechanics and behaviour. You’ll develop your ability to manage these elements to optimise equine function and performance - at both grassroots and competition level.
You’ll gain industry experience through a work placement. Many students secure their graduate roles with these organisations. Recent graduate destinations include roles in equine therapy centres, rehabilitation facilities on competition and racing yards, and postgraduate study at Hartpury.
