Our HND is a highly practical course with a central focus on network management. It gives you a comprehensive understanding of networking infrastructure, LAN and WAN technologies, virtualization. The simulated software and practical labs provide hands on experience of setting up complex networks and troubleshooting networks in our Cisco Lab. The units of study reflect the current employment opportunities within the industry and learners get the opportunity to complete CISCO CCNA 3 and CCNA 4 as part of the course.
The course also aims to develop essential and transferrable employment skills such as communication and interpersonal skills, leadership and the dynamics of working with others in teams.
A nationally recognised level 5 computing qualification, the HND is ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in the computing industry or who wish to progress onto the final year of a degree programme.
