Accredited by: Manchester Metropolitan University

If you have a passion for video games, want to be involved in the game design or CGI movie industry and love the idea of working as part of a team to bring your ideas to life, this is the course for you. The Foundation Degree 3D Modelling & Animation for Games and Media course is specifically designed to give you a taste of the CGI industry, covering the many different tools and assets of CGI design, whilst giving you the necessary skills and knowledge you need to prepare yourself to the creative industry.
The course is delivered through a combination of specialised classes, one to one tutorials and workshops, giving a large amount of support to students own creative ideas and projects.
The first year of the course is an intense look at a wide area of skills within concept and 3D development, giving the student a chance to experience many different roles as a 3D artist while gaining a more specific understanding or their own goals.
The second year of the course is focussed on expanding creative and technical knowledge within 3D development and using it in a professional industry environment. This is done by with students working with industry clients on a given project.
The course is delivered full time over three days by industry specialist staff supported by a range of guest speakers. We maintain a high and wide level of industry software at the college and offer full student support throughout.
