W ith an ever increasing regulatory framework in which business managers must operate within the confines of the law the opportunity for business managers to develop their knowledge in business law opens the door to a host of careers and sets a graduate with a Business Management and Law degree apart from graduates with a simple business management degree. The commercial area of law in particular is very important to business management students who are drawn to the dynamic environment and high earning potentials offered by careers in the business/law intersection.
The course will combine a study of the core foundations of business including marketing, accounting, business communications and management as well as human resource management, entrepreneurship and leadership as well as fundamentals of business law such as Contract Law, the Law of Tort and Intellectual Property Rights. Later in your studies with the dissertation you may wish to explore topics that straddle both disciplines such as social media and intellectual property rights, human resource management and contract law or other topics of preference.
As a member of the Business Management course you can participate in our award-winning programme of extra-curricular activities such as the yearly competition and get exposure to exciting arenas of activity and development such as the sustainable business Management interest group. You will also benefit from an innovative and exciting approach to teaching, developed by a committed team of teaching staff, many of whom come from a professional background in Business Management and Law.
Whatever career path you chose, a BSc (Hons) Business Management with Law degree will equip you with the transferrable skills necessary to establish a successful career including professional skills, problem solving skills, client care, teamwork and professional ethics. All within the context of an intellectually challenging and stimulating academic subject which is informed by up to date research into key areas of Business Management and Law.
