The course combines an innovative approach to the chronological study of English literature with a rich and comprehensive range of other interests. The History element of the programme is distinctive in that it provides students with the opportunity to engage with a wide range of chronological periods and explore differing territories, whilst providing them with core linking themes, most notably, through strands entitled Concepts and Debates and Sources and Methods
