Law York St John University

Studying LLB Law will give students the basic skills of analysis and critique required for a successful career in Law, or indeed in the many allied professional careers that value a rigorous legal education. Law graduates are not only welcomed into the professions – as solicitors and barristers, but also into other roles in both public and private sector. On the LLB programme, students will gain insight into the way in which law works – or sometimes doesn’t work – in contemporary society.

On the LLB degree, students will study the core modules required for a qualifying law degree, such as Criminal Law, alongside an exciting range of optional modules that will allow them to specialise in areas such as Employment Law. By successfully studying the core modules required for the LLB (Hons) satisfy the requirements to proceed to postgraduate study to qualify as a barrister and gain a good grounding in legal subjects making up the Foundations of Legal Knowledge required by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority (SRA).
