Computer Science covers areas from software development to artificial intelligence, and this course combines the subject with robotics. Your studies will focus on explaining what intelligence is and how intelligent machines can be built. The course shares a common first stage with related BSc degrees while providing the opportunity for specialist study in the second and third stages.

The majority of units are assessed through coursework, group and individual projects, portfolios, essays, presentations and exams. Presentations are usually given and assessed in a group seminar. You will also be expected to produce software/hardware artefacts in specialist units.
