International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme 29 points For entry to Level 2: A total of 34 points plus relevant subjects.
Scottish Advanced Higher BB in relevant subjects, plus AAAB at Higher for entry to Level 2.
Scottish HNC Pass HNC with B in graded unit. For Level 2 entry: HNC in a relevant subject with A in graded unit.
Scottish HND Pass For Level 2 entry: HND in a relevant subject with BB in graded units. For Level 3 entry: HND in a relevant subject with AA in graded units.

Intermediate 2 / National 5 / GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics required.

In order to gain the maximum number of available exemptions from the professional examinations of accountancy bodies such as ACCA and ICAS, Level 1 entry is the normal route for all students applying to our Accountancy and Finance programme.


English language requirements

Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not been educated previously in the English language must provide evidence of their English language ability to ensure they can cope with the demands of a Heriot-Watt programme taught and assessed in English.
