Our Accountancy and Finance programme is a specialist degree, particularly well suited to those seeking entry into the accountancy profession and careers in financial services or financial management.

|Scottish HNC||Pass||HNC with B in graded unit. For Level 2 entry: HNC in a relevant subject with A in graded unit.|
|Scottish HND||Pass||For Level 2 entry: HND in a relevant subject with BB in graded units. For Level 3 entry: HND in a relevant subject with AA in graded units.|
Intermediate 2 / National 5 / GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics required.
We accept a wide range of other qualifications from the UK, Europe and International countries. Please contact the Admissions Tutor for the programme for further information on the entry requirements for these.
In order to gain the maximum number of available exemptions from the professional examinations of accountancy bodies such as ACCA and ICAS, Level 1 entry is the normal route for all students applying to our Accountancy and Finance programme.
English language requirements
Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not been educated previously in the English language must provide evidence of their English language ability to ensure they can cope with the demands of a Heriot-Watt programme taught and assessed in English.
