Information:
Grade A / 7 in GCSE Mathematics or equivalent required if Mathematics is not offered at A-level or equivalent. Applicants taking Science A-levels that include a practical component will be required to take and pass this as a condition of entry. This refers only to English A Levels.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma DDD
Access to HE Diploma D: 30 credits
M: 15 credits
We require 60 credits with a minimum of 45 credits at level 3 (or equivalent). Applicants may be required to meet additional subject-specific requirements for particular courses at Durham.
Scottish Higher AAABB Departments will normally make offers based on Advanced Highers. In the absence of 3 Advanced Highers, where these are not offered by the applicant’s school, offers comprising of Advanced Highers and Highers or a number of Highers may be made on a case by case basis.

GCSE Mathematics at grade A or equivalent is required if Mathematics not taken at A-level or equivalent.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme 36 points Seventeen points (6, 6, 5) in Higher Level subjects. Standard Level 5 in Mathematics/Mathematics Studies unless Higher Level Mathematics offered.
Irish Leaving Certificate - Higher Level H2, H2, H2, H2, H3
Scottish Advanced Higher AAB GCSE Mathematics at grade A or equivalent is required if Mathematics not taken at A-level or equivalent.

A strong proficiency in Mathematics is required. If Mathematics is not taken as an A-level subject, a grade A / 7 in Mathematics at GCSE is required. We particularly welcome the Core Mathematics Qualification and we will accept a Core Maths Qualification (grade B minimum) in lieu of our GCSE Mathematics requirement.
