Course summary

This course is a work-based qualification for those looking to go into a wide range of roles across the health, social and community care sectors. It combines health and social care education with practical skills acquired through work placements or existing employment. There are two routes available; one for those already employed in health, social or community care, and one for those not in employment who will undertake a placement in a suitable care based role.
This is a full-time course over two years. You will be required to attend college classes for 7 hours per week. You will also need to dedicate some time to self-study.

All applications will be considered individually however offers will usually be based on:
64 UCAS points (those with 48 UCAS points will be considered for an interview)
BTEC Level 3 qualification (2 years) in relevant subject
Other related Level 3 qualifications
Normally 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or numeric score of 4/5 under newly reformed GCSE grading), including maths or English
An Access to Higher Education Diploma in relevant area
Related work experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications
