All of our four year degrees are ideal for applicants who have only studied up to GCSE Level. This course may also be for you if you: have only a limited number of A-Levels or BTEC Level 3 qualifications; have been out of education for a while; are an EU national who graduated from high school outside of the UK. If you don’t have any formal qualifications, you could still be admitted onto the course if you pass our admissions tests and interview.
This 4-year course equips graduates with the crucial skills required for good Business Management knowledge.
In the Foundation Year you will complete four modules. Three of these focus on general study skills and the fourth is an introduction to Business. These modules have been designed to prepare you for the next three years of your degree.
If you are eligible for funding through the Student Loans Company (SLC) you will be entitled to funding for all 4 years of the course.
This degree is the first step on the ladder to building a firm foundation of business management knowledge. To progress, membership of a professional body is also useful and can assist with on-going learning, development, and networking. One such organisation is the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). LSBM are Higher Education Partners with the CMI, and our students enjoy access to over 100 hours of e-learning modules, 400 videos and over 700 ebooks as a result of our partnership.
Upon graduation you will be awarded a BA (Hons) Business Management which will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed for an entry-level position in a wide range of areas within the business world.
There are two semesters each year. Students complete 2 x 30 credit modules each semester, enabling students to concentrate on fewer modules at a time. For a full list of modules, see provider's course page.
Digital Marketing is a Level 5 module that informs students about using digital technologies to achieve marketing objectives. This means developing strategies to acquire and retain customers profitably in the context of a constantly changing multi-channel buying process. This module builds on students’ existing marketing knowledge and introduces them to the concepts, evolution, technology, tools and drivers of digital marketing. These tools include website development, social media, search engine and email marketing which are underpinned by data analytics that enable marketers to understand and influence the evolving ‘customer journey’.
Strategy, Enterprise and Innovation is a Level 6 module that provides students with a general understanding of the nature of entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and the need for innovation and creativity. The module explores enterprising behaviour within the context of large organisations (including both private and public organisations, as well as those in the third sector) as well as small businesses.
Modules are assessed in different ways, e.g. essays, reports, portfolios, presentations and examinations.
