University of Salford has opted into the TEF and received a Bronze award.
Our foundation year is an excellent route into science for those either from a non-scientific background or seeking to develop their career in a new direction; it is also ideal if you're returning to education or do not meet the entry requirements for direct entry to an Honours degree.
This course will provide you with a strong foundation in biology and chemistry, through a range of both core and optional modules, allowing you to progress onto a BSc (Hons) degree course in a related discipline, within the School of Environment and Life Sciences.
Please note that an overall average mark of 60% is required to transfer onto BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science.
Core modules may include: Data Handling, Professional Communications, Biological Principles, Scientific Methods. Optional Modules may include: Chemical Principles, Science for Health, Earth Processes, Environmental Conservation.
