The course offers a mix of practical and theoretical content and aims to equip students with tools that senior managers in today’s global marketplace need, such as business research skills and international brand management. The course embraces economics, politics, and legal, socio-cultural and technological issues relating to the modern world of management.
Core modules (PGCert): Research methods for business and management; human resource management in context; contemporary issues in international management. Core modules (PGDip): International marketing and brand management; finance for decision making. Core modules (MSc stage): Postgraduate major project. Optional modules: The entrepreneurial proposition; strategic management. Students starting the course in January take the PGDip modules in their 1st semester and the PGCert modules in their 2nd semester.
Assessment is based on written assignments, portfolios, reports, presentations, workshop activities and business simulations.

Minimum 2.2 in a Bachelors degree, or equivalent qualification. If English is not the 1st language students are expected to demonstrate a certified level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5, or equivalent. Students with other awards, including those from non-UK universities, are encouraged to apply. Applications are also welcome from applicants with professional experience.
