Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business is designed to give you the skills for a particular field of work. You can also use the qualifications to progress within your current career, for example as a stepping stone to gaining professional status. HNDs are assessed through assignments, projects, presentations and practical tasks that you complete throughout the course.
If you successfully complete HND, the grades in each subject unit are shown as: pass, merit or distinction.

As part of our entry requirements, applicants who may not have the necessary qualifications, may be considered through their relevant work experience (3 years minimum). As part of the application process, applicants will be required to provide a copy of their CV and a reference letter from employers.

Additional entry requirements
Institutions Own Test (IOT)
Firstly the team will look at your qualifications against each course’s entry criteria, your experience and personal statement and if they consider from this that you would benefit from the course you have applied for you will be invited to come to the College for an assessment test in English literacy and comprehension. If you successfully pass the English language requirements, you will be invited for a personal interview.
The personal interview provides you with an opportunity to talk to ABI College staff members about the course in order to ensure that it meets your needs. On the basis of this you will either be offered a place to study with us, or if it is decided that you are not ready for one of our courses appropriate advice will be given.
In some cases, the team may contact you for further information to help them make an admissions decision. If this is the case, please reply as soon as possible to avoid your application being rejected.
