Computer Science (Research) Aberystwyth University

Awarded by: Aberystwyth University (Prifysgol Aberystwyth)

Research in the department is motivated by the needs of industry, business and government; we actively look for opportunities for technology transfer. An important aspect of this is that our research work must be reflected in our teaching. We believe that collaboration in research is essential and we collaborate with industry, with government, and with other academic institutions, on a national and international level. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (2014) assessment, it was found that 100% of the research impact was assessed as world-leading! Areas of research include: advanced reasoning; bioinformatics; intelligent robotics; vision, graphics and visualisation.
