This course has been designed after reflecting on the gap between relevant management skills and academic ability. Local employers, spa and clinical organisations have been involved in the selection of modules and development of assessments, to ensure that this course is relevant, relatable and current with industry trends and issues. This course will allow learners to achieve a level 6 BA (Hons) degree which can be applied to your own specific area of work, by choosing the most appropriate module. This course is for anyone who has completed a foundation degree award (or an equivalent qualification) and is wanting to progress to a higher level of study. This course includes fundamental business modules which will allow learners to enhance their work placements and professional skills. This course is also a fantastic opportunity for those who are currently in industry, and holds extensive industry experience, but are wishing to upskill and develop current management skill, relevant to the diverse and ever changing beauty industry. Career opportunities include Advanced Practitioner of Beauty Therapy or Salon/Spa Management (with salon experience).

Course details

Modules

Contemporary Issues within the Beauty and Spa Industries, Digital Marketing, Strategy and Change, Dissertation/Research project. Optional modules include: Clinical Physiology or Managing People within the Spa Industry and Related Industries.

Assessment method

You will learn through a variety of different methods including Lectures, Seminars, Group Work and Practical Sessions. You will be assessed through Case studies, Presentations, Research projects, Reports, Time constrained assessments and Assignments
