This HE sport programme is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue or develop their knowledge and understanding across a range of sporting topics. Combining a range of vocational and employability-based skills, learners will study key topic areas including Nutrition, Sport Psychology, Coaching and Biomechanics.
The Sport, Coaching & Exercise Science Foundation Degree course combines practical instruction with academic interactive teaching, including a varied range of assessment methods and is ideally suited to either those graduating from Level 3 or A-level courses or those looking for a lifestyle change with experience or keen interests in a sports career.
This programme also offers access to a range of industry specific qualifications at reduced prices for those students wishing to develop specialisms and develop their vocational skills (such as Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy)

Learning and developing the fundamental skills of research is critical to any Higher Education programme and is included as a core unit. Every opportunity will be given to embed and apply these core skills in all units culminating in a final year research project within a chosen discipline of your choice.
The units of study offer a contemporary balance covering the full range of Sport, Coaching & Exercise Science subject areas. Opportunities for additional industry validated qualifications will also be made available during your programme.
