Course summary

This programme is available as a 2 year full-time programme (part time option may be available) and aims to provide the student with the fundamentals of animal science training, development and management, setting foundations for a successful career.

The learner will develop skills, knowledge and practical experience in animal behaviour, physiology and care, including the interaction and importance of animals in society and welfare management. Specific modules will examine the management of wildlife as well as the nutritional requirements of various dietary types.

This qualification provides an essential broad base to the theoretical knowledge and practical experience needed for working in the animal care industry and includes compulsory work experience.
