The Newman English degrees enable you to extend your reading and appreciation of literature and encourage the exploration of a range of personal, cultural and historical issues. The language element provides fascinating insights into the ways in which language is spoken and written in a variety of contexts. The links between literature and film are explored in a strand of modules that focus on this and there is the opportunity to take creative writing modules within the degree.

On enrolment this degree requires 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (or C) or above (or recognised equivalents) .
