Core modules: Java programming and databases; professional practice; software engineering; dissertation; data structures and algorithms. Optional modules: Software project management; interaction design; information security; testing and reliable software engineering; advanced database systems; web application development; mobile development; data mining.

Assessment method

Assessment methods are chosen in relation to the particular requirements of a module. These modules vary from 100 per cent examination to 100 per cent continuous assessment.

Entry requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in a non-computing subject, with at least grade 2:1 (or equivalent). Before being admitted onto the programme, applicants will be expected to take an aptitude test and to participate in an interview. Entry requirements for each individual student will be stated in their offer letter. Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide evidence of an English language qualification.
