Course summary

Big Data is big business, and it’s only going to get bigger. By 2019, it’s going to be worth $102bn, up from $59bn in 2015, according to IDC research. Organisations need the right skills if they’re to maximise all of the opportunities that big data now offers.

Someone who knows how to approach and analyse data is vital to every function of a business in today’s constantly-evolving technological landscape. Through our professional postgraduate certification in data analytics, you will be equipped with core data analytics skills within a shortened timeframe, allowing you to put your learning into practice quickly. Developing a critical understanding of data handling, you will learn how to effectively analyse data needs, make strategic business decisions from these findings and know how to present the findings to others in an accessible way.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for this course you must normally have either: A UK honours degree at a minimum of second class (2.2) or equivalent, plus 2 years suitable work experience.

For students whose prior learning was not taught in English: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent

We are more than happy to consider, and positively encourage, an application from you if have substantial suitable work experience (typically 5 years senior level experience) and can show us that you have the motivation to study the programme. We’ll ask you for a personal statement that demonstrates your ability to study the course. We may also want references and evidence of relevant experiences.
