Additional fee information

Home (UK)/EU tuition fees for undergraduate courses at Canterbury Christ Church University are currently set within the UK Government’s regulatory framework: In 2017/18, the University will raise the 2017/18 Home (UK) / EU tuition fees to £9,250 in line with forecast inflation at a rate of 2.8%. This is because the University had satisfactory quality assessments under the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). The Government confirmed that in 2018/19, universities meeting the requirements of the Teaching Excellence Framework 2 (TEF2) could raise their 2018/19 maximum undergraduate student tuition fee. This will be in line with forecast inflation, and subject to the maximum fee cap set by the Government. The government has yet to set the statutory maximum level for tuition fees for students enrolling in 2018/19. Canterbury Christ Church University submitted an application to the TEF2, and the Government intends to publish the outcomes in May 2017. The University will update this statement as soon as we have further information about the tuition fee increases for 2018/19. These increases will be applicable to undergraduate new entrant students in 2018/19, and continuing students who started their programmes in 2017/18. The University’s 2018/19 tuition fees for all other undergraduate courses with non-regulated fees will also rise in line with the increase in the relevant Government tuition fee caps and will be applicable to undergraduate new entrant students in 2018/19, and continuing students who started their courses in 2017/18. EU Nationals: For new entrants in 2018/19, the Government has yet to announce the rules that will apply to EU nationals around eligibility to receive loans and/or grants from the Student Loans Company (SLC). The University will therefore also update this statement with information about any changes that may affect EU nationals’ eligibility to apply for tuition fee loans through the SLC as soon as we have further information. Year on Year undergraduate tuition fee increases for 2018/19 new entrants and continuing students who started in 2017/18: The University reserves the right to increase all full-time and part-time undergraduate tuition fees mid-course in line with any further inflationary increase in the Government tuition fee cap which is approved by Parliament beyond the Teaching Excellence Framework 2 (TEF2). The University will publish information about the level of inflationary increase anticipated (in percentage terms) change on its website. International Tuition Fees: Undergraduate fees for International students are not subject to the Government’s regulations on maximum tuition fees. The University’s 2018/19 tuition fees for International students, and any mid-course increases, have not yet been confirmed but will be published on each course webpage. Tuition Fee Scholarship discounts are available to eligible International (Overseas) students. Visit the scholarship page for further information.
