Course summary

Develop enhanced skills and understanding of the scientific basis and practice of Endodontics so that you become competent at diagnosing and treating more complex cases. Train in a clinical skills laboratory before you progress to clinics. This course runs in parallel with the successfully established Prosthodontic course improving understanding between these dental disciplines.

Assessment method

Assessment will be comprised of a one-hour written short-answer examination for each taught module. You will carry out a research project related to endodontology and produce a typed and bound dissertation. This will include a critical review of the literature. It is anticipated that the proportion of time spent on the research project should be approximately 25% of the course.The results of modular assessments, logbook of clinical activity, case presentations and dissertation will be scrutinized by the examiners.

Entry requirements

Candidates must have a degree in dentistry and must have at least two years clinical experience following graduation. As this is a clinical course, your level of English is highly important. Please check our website for English language requirements.
