University Centre Somerset - Bridgwater & Taunton College has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
This foundation degree is designed for people who wish to pursue a career in Early Years care and education or for people already working in the sector. The course will cover subjects such as: maths, science and the child; language, literacy and the child; play and learning; professional practice and the workplace; applied social science; early years curriculum; regulatory and legislative framework for early years service.

The modules studied over the two years will include:

•Child Health and Wellbeing

There are no examinations on this programme, each module is assessed by means of assignments – reflective essay, production of children's learning and development resources, and presentations. We offer comprehensive study skills support throughout your time at college in order to help maximise your chances of success. Teaching sessions take the form of lectures, supervised discussions, small group work and guest speakers.
