Studying French at Strathclyde will give you the chance to become a fluent linguist and, with our year abroad programme, an opportunity to experience living, working and/or studying in another country. This new social policy degree programme gives you the opportunity to learn more about the social and economic challenges facing Scottish society and enables you to place these in a broader international and comparative perspective. Why French and Social Policy at Strathclyde? Ranked in the UK Top 10 in the Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021 Focus on professional language skills and contemporary culture. Study abroad with our partners in Paris, Dijon and Angers. Honours students spend a year abroad after Year 3, usually working as an English-speaking teaching assistant, gaining experience on a work placement, or studying at a foreign institution. Stevenson Exchange Scholarship – a competitive award with funding towards a project undertaken while abroad. French can also be studied within the LLB Honours Law with a Modern Language. Combine French with selected business subjects. Your Career Graduates are currently working in a variety of environments around the world.
