Studying Accounting and Business Management is a great opportunity to gain a degree that is clearly focused on your long-term career prospects in a wide variety of contexts. Whether you are thinking of setting up your own business, working in a large corporation and the public sector you will need to possess an understanding of how businesses operate and how skilled managers can contribute to their success. This degree focuses upon the importance of effective accounting within business providing you with the necessary skills to embark on a career where you apply your academic learning in practice. At Level 1 you will gain a broad understanding of the subject which will be developed further at Levels 2 and 3. You will learn how to record, summarise and present financial transactions. Modules may include: Level 1: Introduction to Accounting; Economics & Finance; Organisations, Competition & Environment; ICT & Study Skills. Level 2: Advanced Financial Reporting (1); International Finance; Financial Management; Professional Experience & Career Planning. Level 3: Management Accounting & Management Control; Advanced Financial Accounting (2);Strategic & Corporate Finance; International Business Economics.
