Develop your acting, directing and writing skills through a variety of activities whether taking part in professional-led workshops, collaborating on the LSBU Student Theatre Company production or writing and performing your own work. You’ll cover three main areas on this course: performance skills and techniques; creative and innovative theatre making; and critical analysis and understanding.

Modules

Year 1: Writing, performance and the subject; Performance histories; Systems of rehearsal: the actor; Performance laboratory 1; Text into performance; Twentieth century theatre practice. Year 2: Multimedia performance; 2 x student theatre company productions; Performance laboratory 2; Practices of adaptation; Physical theatres. Year 3: Contemporary performance practice and composition; Dissertation (double module); Major performance project (triple module).
