Therefore, increasing the demand for newly qualified physical education teachers.

This exciting new programme has been developed with input from current physical education teachers, primary and high school headmasters and self-employed school orientated coaches. The course has been fashioned to establish and develop your knowledge in the physical education industry whilst providing you with the qualification and skills needed to acquire paid employment as a sports coach and lead practical physical education sessions within schools.

You will receive encouragement from the course lecturers and work placement advisors to gain knowledge in areas such as: Coaching practice in sport and physical education, Inclusive physical education, learning and the policies and practices of a physical education teacher. During the course you will be required to complete a range of work placements within local schools or with local sports teams as part of the Work Related Learning module, as well as planning and delivering practical coaching sessions and classroom based lessons. The course offers places for students to undertake their Work Placement abroad at a variety of schools in Orebro, Sweden, working in both primary and secondary education whilst leading sporting activities.
