The course

This course is for you if you wish to study Accounting and Finance at Warwick, but do not meet the requirements for direct entry to either of our three-year BSc degree courses. You must also meet at least two of the widening participation criteria

The Foundation Year curriculum is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you will need for subsequent degree-level study at WBS. These include: critically reflective reading, thinking and writing skills; creative approaches and innovative solutions to problems; data search, retrieval and analysis; and report writing. We will also help you to develop increased self-awareness and enhanced interpersonal skills, along with the ability to operate effectively in a variety of team roles. On successful completion of the Foundation Year, you’ll automatically transfer to the three-year BSc Accounting and Finance.

A level Complete and pass three full A level subjects, excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking. Grade B in GCSE English Language and Mathematics and grade C in five other GCSE subjects. Applicants with grade C in GCSE English Language and grade B in GCSE English Literature will also be considered.

Applicants should have studied a higher level quantitative subject such as Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Calculus and Statistics.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) Completion of the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma. Grade B in GCSE English Language and Mathematics and grade C in five other GCSE subjects. Applicants with grade C in GCSE English Language and grade B in GCSE English Literature will also be considered.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Completion of three subjects at Higher Level and three subjects at Standard Level. Additional fee information

The tuition fees for years 2-4 of the course are set at the standard University Home tuition fee level. In line with government policy decisions, Home undergraduate tuition fees for the 2020/21 academic year are £9,250. For students who qualify for Home fees, the University expects to increase fees in line with any inflationary uplift as determined by the UK Government, if permitted by law or government policy, in the second and subsequent years of your course.
