The overall aim of the BA (Hons) Business and Management (Marketing) course is to equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience that will enable you to be ‘professionally ready’ on graduation. The course will provide broad coverage of the key functions of business, management within a marketing context and will enable you to appreciate the importance of the social, political, ethical, technological, environmental and global contexts in which organisations operate. The programme also provides opportunities for students to develop creativity, communication, problem solving, time-management and decision making abilities through a range of skills and knowledge relevant to modern business and professional contexts.
The course will enable you to explain and apply key terms, definitions and concepts used within marketing whilst analysing a range of markets within specific contexts. Marketing research will be undertaken and you will analyse the data available therefore helping you to identify and analyse factors that influence the formation of marketing plans and strategies. You will understand the strategic implications of disruptions to traditional markets and the emerging themes within the digital marketing environment.
You will be supported by a range of work relevant case studies, speakers and visits.
