University Centre Somerset - Bridgwater & Taunton College has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
this course has been designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge base required to work in your chosen specialism, to support entrepreneurial skills or other graduate opportunities. it is also a platform from which you can undertake additional vocational and academic qualifications. The College has strong industry links and we have close relationships with employers to ensure our courses prepare our students to be successful in their chosen careers and therefore work-based learning is an integral part of the course.
Modules will cover a range of topics which may include:
- introduction to financial and management accounting
- managing human resources
- mentoring, training and development in the workplace
- applied marketing
- current issues in management
The course is assessed by means of 80% coursework and 20% tests or exams. Continuous assessment processes mean that individual and group assignments count towards your final grade, as do projects and formal written exams
