Leicester College has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
With a career in engineering as your chosen route, this course offers pathways in both mechanical and electrical/electronic engineering. The HND in engineering course is designed to enable learners who may have come through a vocational route to progress into higher education, building on the knowledge gained at level 3.
The course is made up of sixteen 15c credit units. You will need to complete eight units in Year 1 and a further eight units in Year 2. Units include Analytical methods for engineers, Engineering science, Project design, Business management techniques for engineers, Management of projects, Electrical and electronic principles, Programmable logic controllers, Combinational and sequential logic, Engineering design, Quality assurance and management, mechatronic systems, Further analytical methods for engineers, Quality and business improvement techniques, Electronic principles, Application of power electronics, Electrical electronic and digital principles.
