Course summary
The BSc (Hons) Management with Entrepreneurship places an emphasis on how organisations are conceived, sustained through opportunity seeking and resource acquisition, grow and stay creative and innovative.
- It will equip students with a comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of management. Students will learn about key economic, financial, and psychological knowledge-bases in order to provide them with some of the basic tools they require to effectively manage and lead people at work, and engage in activities such as business creation and product/business development.
- The degree will prepare students for work in large/multinational and small-to-medium sized organisations that are global in nature, innovative, entrepreneurial and digitally cutting-edge. Students can also expect to develop transferable skills in critical-thinking, reflection, time-management, leadership, written and verbal communications, and numeracy, and to undertake research on an individual and group basis.

Modules
Year 1 (credit level 4) In your first year you will take the following compulsory modules: Strategic Management Foundations of Economics Understanding Entrepreneurship Introduction to Marketing Finance and Accounting Identity, Agency & Environment 1 Identity, Agency & Environment 2 Year 2 (credit level 5) In your second year, you will the following compulsory modules as well as an optional module from across the Institute of Management Studies. Entrepreneurial Finance Entrepreneurial Behaviour Developing Business Ideas and Opportunities Market Research and Consumer Insight My Career Strategy The Goldsmiths Elective You also take optional 1 or 2 modules to the value of 30 credits from an approved list from other departments. Year 3 (credit level 6) In your third year, you'll take the following compulsory modules: Leadership and Talent Management International Business Organisational Behaviour The Entrepreneurial Project Entrepreneurial Management and Growth You can then choose to complete either two optional modules of 15 credits, or to complete a Research Project. Please note that due to staff research commitments not all of these modules may be available every year.
Assessment method
You’ll be assessed by a variety of methods, depending on your module choices. These include coursework, examinations, group work and projects.
