Taught by expert sociologists, this robustly academic social science course benefits from a huge breadth of subjects, giving you a solid grounding in sociological concepts, theories and research. In this course, which is ranked 7th in the Guardian league tables 2018 for sociology, you’ll get to participate in exciting seminar and lectures held by an exciting and eclectic mix of guest speakers. 91% of our final year sociology students agree our staff are good at explaining things (National Student Survey, 2018).

What's more, you’ll have the distinct advantage of completing a 30-week or 20-day work placement, depending on whether you take the four- or three-year version of the course. This gives you a professional skillset and crucial contacts, as well as making you more employable.
