Northumbria University, Newcastle has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
The key aim of the provision is to provide a clear pathway for students into the Mathematics, Physics and Physics with Astrophysics BSc programmes for a potentially large pool of students that may have failed to achieve the required UCAS entry points.
This course consists of six modules that cover core aspects of mathematics and physics, including algebra and linear algebra, calculus, statistics, statics and dynamics, electricity, waves and particles, materials, computer skills and problem solving.
Teaching is delivered through a mixture of live lectures, seminars and applied practical laboratory work.
You will be assessed by various methods including assignments, examinations, scientific reports, presentations and group work that will be completed throughout both semesters.
