South and City College Birmingham has opted into the TEF and received a Bronze award.
This is new BTEC Higher National qualification in Business and is designed to address an increasing need for high quality professional and technical education pathways at Levels 4 and 5, thereby providing students with a clear line of sight to employment or to progression to a degree at Level 6.
Year One: Business and the Business Environment,
Human Resource Management,
Management and Operations,
Managing a Successful Business Project,
Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management;
Year Two: Research Project; Organisations and Behaviour; Statistics for Management; Business Strategy; Developing Individuals, Teams and Organisations; International Marketing; Global Business Environment.
This course is mainly assessed through coursework. Coursework can include individual and group presentations, reports, poster presentations, reflective accounts. The Financial / Accounting modules are assessed using time constrained tasks.
