Nottingham Trent University has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
It's often said that an organisation's most important assets are its people and so understanding how to manage people is a valuable skill. This course enables students to focus on management processes but has a strong emphasis on issues relating to the people dimension of business and employment.
Our BA (Hons) Business Management Joint Honours courses have Dual Award status with the Chartered Management Institute, which means you will gain a CMI qualification in addition to your degree. The course is also approved by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and upon graduation you will gain Associate Membership of the CIPD.
The flexible nature of our courses means that you have the option to transfer between our Business Management Joint Honours courses after the first year.
Nottingham Business School at NTU is EQUIS and AACSB accredited, ranked 11th in the UK for Business according to the Guardian league table 2020 and 28th / 121 in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019.
Year One: Six core modules.
Year Two: Three core modules, plus two specialist modules and one optional module. Full-time students have the option to replace the specialist and optional modules with a unique half-year opportunity, which include studying abroad, setting up an enterprise, and an industry internship.
Year Three: Placement year for students on the four-year course.
Final Year: Five core modules plus one optional module. Throughout the course you will study a wide range of modules covering all areas of Business Management as well as modules more specific to Human Resources, including Exploring Human Resource Management, Researching People and Organisations, Human Resources Development and Contemporary Issues in Human Resource Management.
