Our exciting Sport Coaching Science Top up programme is a dynamic offers a high quality springboard into coaching sport from community to elite level for those who have experience in these areas and have completed modules on a HND or Foundation Degree programme.
The course is designed to equip you with the know-how and expertise required to work as a multi-skilled sports coach in a growing number of coaching and teaching related careers. Drawing on our heritage and expertise in sport studies, sport science and physical education at Newman, we have developed a degree that offers you the chance to acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding required to begin a career in coaching and related careers.

All applicants will need to have 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at level 5 in a relevant Foundation Degree or HND. Applicants should normally achieve 80% merits (minimum) in the final year.
Applicants should also hold GCSE grade C or above in English Language and Maths (or equivalent awards). If your application meets our entry requirements, you may be invited to attend an interview.
Depending upon previous learning, applicants may be required to pass bridging work in the form of an online research methods module.
