The course is a mixture of practical and analytical modules all of them developing the engineering themes from basic principles. Maths and Science are core and are reinforced in almost every module, this combined with a good grounding in design, powertrain, chassis, management, suspension, diagnostic and practical abilities means that after the first year students can embark on a group design project employing all the skills learnt in the first two years. On successful completion of the second year third year modules build on these skills, enhancing your ability to work in a team and specialise in an area of their choice through completion of a major dissertation.

Assessment method

Assessment is spread across the academic year and is a mixture of practical tests & presentations, classroom phase tests and assignment work, thus we hope to appeal to each students best way of learning while improving their weaker areas.
